How to fix Galaxy J7 not recognizing SIM card issue



Solution: Under the SIM Card Manager section in Settings, there’s an option to allow you to activate Dual SIM functionality. This option is named Dual SIM always on. Make sure that it’s enabled. Here’s how

1 Open Settings app.

2 Tap Connections.

3 Tap SIM card manager.

4 Enable Dual SIM always on.

5 Reset app preferences

If there’s no change and the problem remains, the next step for you is to ensure that all default apps on the device are enabled. Some Android functionalities like Dual SIM needs some core system apps in order to work. If an important system app has been disabled by mistake, it may cause other apps or functionalities to fail. To reset app preferences:

1 Open Settings app.

2 Tap Apps.

3 Tap on additional settings at the higher right (three-dot icon).

4 Select Reset app preferences.

5 Restart your Galaxy J7 and check for the problem.

6 Reset network settings

Another good troubleshooting step that you can do in this situation is ensuring that the device has correct network configuration. To do that, you want to clear the current network setup. Here’s how:
