Before starting to solve problems, it is important to carry out some checks, since Hey Siri will not work if these functions are not fulfilled.

1.The headset should not be upside down.

1.The smart cover of the iPad / iPhone case must be closed.

1.The device must be connected to the power jack if it is an iPhone 6 or a previous phone, iPod touch or iPad.

1.The device should not be in low power mode because Hey Siri does not work if the battery is in the red indicator.

If these tips do not do anything for you, try the following methods:
1. Do a Refresh Hey Siri

1. Make an update for Hey Siri
If Siri is not waking up with the Hey Siri command, you can change Siri and turn it on again.

To do so, go to Settings> Siri & Search and then turn off the "Hey Siri" listener. Finally, press "Start" for the Siri option.

Wait a small amount so flip it on once more

Then, configure "Hey Siri" on your iDevice.

2. Restart the dictation
When the Dictation is active, it can cause a distortion in the operation of Hey Siri in iOS 12. To solve this problem, deactivate the Dictation.
You can do it by going to Settings - General - Keyboard.
Then you will see the option titled "Dictation enabled".

Turn off this setting and then try the Hey Siri command.

3. Do a forced reboot on iOS 12 iDevice
If the two previous methods do not work, try to reboot forcefully on your iDevice.

Here are the steps you can take to restart your iPhone / iPad. If you are using an iPhone 8 Plus / 8 or iPhone X, press and release Volume Up and then Volume Down.

After that, press and hold the side button until the screen turns off and the Apple logo appears on the screen of your device.
If you are using iPhone 7 + / 7, press and hold the sleep / wake button and the volume down button until the headset restarts. For iPad users and iPhone 6s / 6 users, press and hold the sleep / wake button and the power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

4. Test the Internet and restart the connection if necessary
To a large extent, Hey Siri works properly with stable Internet connections.
If there is a delay in your network, or if Hey Siri is not connected correctly, it will say "Try again in a moment" or "Sorry, I have problems connecting to the network". Try activating Airplane mode to block WiFi and cell date if Hey Siri is giving you problems. Then, turn off Airplane Mode and see if Hey Siri is working.

In some cases, the network configuration may require a reset. This will not erase the data from your iDevice, but will simply restore the network-related configuration to its default state. To do so, go to Settings> General> Reset. Select "Reset network configuration".

5. Restore device with iTunes.

If all else fails and Hey Siri still does not work, try restoring the iDevice with iTunes.
 To do it
Start the iTunes software on the computer that you used to back up the gadget.

Use the USB cable to connect the tablet / smartphone to the PC. If you are asked to trust the computer, do so and follow the instructions that you see on the screen.

Choose your iDevice when it appears in iTunes.

Select "Restore backup" in iTunes. Analyze the size and date of all the backpacks and select the most relevant one.

Click on "restore" and wait a moment until it finishes.
If prompted, enter the password for the 'encrypted backup copy'.

Keep the headset connected after it restarts and wait a bit for the synchronization to complete.
After it does, you can disconnect it from the PC.
